2016-2018 Goals

During its first three-year phase, HopkinsLocal set specific goals for construction project commitments, hiring, and purchasing by FY 18.  These included:

  • Filling, by 2018, 40 percent of targeted positions by hiring from within the city’s most distressed communities
  • Increasing by at least $6 million over three years the amount of goods and services the university and health system purchase from Baltimore-based businesses
  • Enlisting at least 24 suppliers from outside the area and holding them accountable to hire, procure, and invest locally
